About All-Tronics and Althar Audio...
Our Future, Communication...
In 2012, we became inspired with the concept of applying the experience garnered from over 35 years in medical ultrasound to the formation and control of audible sounds. We theorized that by precisely forming and controlling audible waves much in the way that ultrasound waves are controlled, we might overcome a great many of the problems associated with conventional loudspeaker systems. To this end we set out to perfect a Frequency Amplitude Beaming engine to control the drivers in our new Uniform Loudness Distribution© loudspeaker. This FAB©, is designed to control audio speakers in the same way transducers are controlled in the fields of ultrasound and RADAR. Althar Audio was formed to support this effort and our entry into the Commercial Sound industry. We perfected our FAB technology and have incorporated it into the first commercially available loudspeaker, the ULD Pro featuring Uniform Loudness Distribution©. This improves the even distribution of sound through an entire room while maintaining extremely high intelligibility. What this means to the sound reproduction industry is that there is a new technology which transcends the jump the simple line array created so many years ago by applying new theories of sonic wave formulation and distribution. When asked to to compare ULD Beam-forming technology to other similar looking systems we like to comment, " As different as chalk and cheese". Though products from other manufacturers share the same form factor, the similarity ends there. ULD Professional loudspeakers represent a truly new class of sound reinforcement. One listen of a ULD will convince you of just how different it really is. Beautiful sound, highly intelligible, high resistance to feedback and low power requirements are just a few of the hallmarks of this new class of loudspeaker. We intend to continue to change the audio world with a family of products including our portable Mobilis Sound System, Sealed Outdoor Sound Systems, our Althar Cinema System, a mini amplifier/mixer, a subwoofer and related support solutions for professionals. At Althar, our staff works to "improve audible literacy" for the masses. |
Our technical roots...
Founded in 1975, All-Tronics Medical Systems, Inc. is an international medical company based in Cleveland, Ohio. All-Tronics began as a service organization, concentrating on industrial CAD/CAM and other types of specialized research equipment. It then expanded into the medical industry developing innovations for many disciplines. Our staffs current medical divisions became leaders in heart stress-testing, ultrasound imaging, mulit-format video cameras and computerized Vision Testing. Combining expertise in video systems with a knowledge of the clinical setting, the firm grew as a developer of innovative, cost-effective medical imaging systems. We later developed a ground breaking, High-Definition video recorder defining a new High Definition standard. This unit was adopted by over 85% of the cardiac cath. labs in the U.S.! Our video recorders were incorporated in all major OEM lab systems sold by companies such as GE, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba and Picker X-Ray to name a few. Parallel to this, High Def video and HIFI audio have always been a passion. To this end we formed a major consumer based home theater store in the 1980's. Here we sold and supported this industry from its inception. Our passion in audio led us to introduce the $60,000 Copernicus Audio Field Projector and the line of Althar products featured here. For thirty eight years A.M.S. has been a regular participant at the annual scientific meetings of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association. We are an American Company, manufacture our own products right in Cleveland and even rely on some highly specialized recycled materials in the formulation of our products. We provide continuous, 24/7 support for all our products from our multi-building research, design, consulting, and manufacturing operations located in Cleveland, Ohio. In the future we look to build a long lasting relationship with you! Sincerely, Dennis Althar |
